that we have been. + sick. the flu/cold has gone through us twice, me included. somehow john avoided it. we have made about 5 trips to disneyland in the last 2 weeks. everytime i turn around i am pulling into the parking lot. i know they don't appreciate it, but they love going! both girls started softball last week. they are on the same team and daddy is the coach. hannah could care less and kate is so excited you wouldn't believe it. if you call her a softball girl she gets a big grin on her face! hannah had open house last weekend. there was a book fair there, but i told her i wasn't going to buy her a book unless she read it to me. well what do you know...the kid can read...EVERYTHING. not quite sure what she is comprehending, but i'm not gonna worry about that....just excited she is reading. kate continues to whine by the minute and meghan continues to make us smile every second, though she shows glimpses of the terrible twos. hannah and john attended a father/daughter dance this past weekend for daisys. i think john was left alone much of the night while hannah ran around with her friends.
much to johnny's dismay, we chopped megsie's hair off. granted, it's a matter of opinion, but it looks sooooo much cuter. she is a hot mess. she never keeps a pony in and it's all nappy on the bottom. she sat pretty well for the most part. my phone camera died and my video camera went belly up. at the last minute i was able to get the video camera working and luckily it takes pictures!
i just had the delightful joy of taking easter pictures with 3 of the most compliant children you will ever meet. it's such a joyous thing to go do...i think i might consider professional photography specializing in children! To make it even better the camera that I took all the major pictures on had the memory card defective so I can view the pictures in the camera but can't put them on my computer!
I am losing all control!! She is number 3 so I know what I need to do to make her 'right', but I am so tired that sometimes it's just easier to well...let her feed the dog!
My baby girl is 2 years old! I know everyone says it, but I must...where does the time go? I remember holding her at 5 or 6 months and being so thankful that she was so little and I had so much time for her and now I can't remember where that time went. I wish I could bottle her up and go back to January 20 2009. My baby isn't a baby anymore. I know why Kelsey is the fam favorite...there's something about that last baby. Her first 2 years of life Megsie has continued to be the most sweet, low maitenance, loving, calm, precious little thing, but I see the dark side coming. She has had 2 drop down, face down, hands and legs kicking temper tantrums this past week. Uh Oh. Her only downfall as of today, January 20 2011 is she is NOT sleeping through the night. She has daddy wrapped around her finger. 2-3 mornings a week, I find them cuddling on the couch from the 5 am hour on.
