Update

Kate had surgery this morning. It went well. We got to the hospital at 6:45 with surgery scheduled at 8:45. I was nervous about how she would be for 2 hours in the hospital. She was the hit of the floor with her hospital gown and her little bling-bling red converse. It wasn't too bad, they actually took us down to the OR about 20 minutes early. Right before that, they gave her verced which is a calming drug. Let me tell you, it's a good thing. I am thinking of going to med school just to get a license to write prescriptions. Everyone should have a shot of that stuff every night. She was so relaxed. Her head kept bobbing back, eyes kind of droopy...nice!!!! Hannah needed a dose of it today. I should have married a doctor.

It went well, about an hour. The Dr. came out and told us that we did a good thing. Her adenoids were HUGE. A child her age should have adenoids in about 60% of their nasal cavity. Kate's covered over 100% and were starting to grow into her nose. WOW!!!

He is pretty confident that this will cure the runny nose. Not so confident about the snoring. I can deal with all that, but no the runny has got to go. So hopefully it will work. If not, then we will have to explore other things.

She is a bit cranky, as usual, but other than that she is doing well!

Good bye Boogers (hopefully)

Tomorrow Kate will have surgery to remove her adnoids. The Dr. is pretty confident that is why she has had a runny nose everyday since March 17, 2006. I am okay with the surgery, it is the fact that she will be asleep and intibate that makes me nervous. Please keep her in your prayers!!!

But you slept in that

Mom: Hannah, let's get dressed to go see the twinnies
Hannah: But I am dressed
M: no, you slept in that
H: well you sleep in your clothes that you wear all day

She's right, I just didn't think she noticed. If she notices, then imagine what my neighbors and Hannah's teacher's think of me:)

Hannah Reading

I caught Hannah reading the other day. It was so cute:)

Kate and Hannah

Dyeing Eggs

We had a fantastic day yesterday. We started at the egg hunt, went to marmie's and poppy's with the twinnies, went swimming after nap time, and closed the night with dyeing Easter Eggs. The kids actually did really well unless you count that everyone wanted blue and they all wanted it right now!!! Kate loved it and probably did about 5 eggs!!

Easter Hunt

I took the girls to the annual Easter Egg hunt at our local park. It was such a beautiful day and they had a lot of fun bouncing and looking for candy. We saw the Easter Bunny. As you can tell by the picture, Kate wasn't too fond of him. Good thing we didn't wait in line:)

Kate's question of the day

How can I fit my shirt, leggings, and socks into my princess cell phone holder that is about 1inch by 3 inches. If you can figure that out can you please let me know ASAP because I am screaming at the highest pitch ever and I think my mom is going to give me to Salvation Army when they make their pick up later on in the day!!!

Vegas

This past weekend, my family and I all went to Las Vegas. We were originally taking my Gma Polly for a trip, but she ended up getting sick and not being able to go. I got really sick too, but fought through. I don't have much to talk about because I was in bed almost the entire time. You'll have to read my sister's blogs, they have a lot to say about the weekend very funny too!! I was able to rally for a few important things:

J.J. had called in some favors and got us some $$$ to spend at the addidas store. I got a sweat outfit (one of my friends at school said to me "Gosh Courtney, you have a lot of cute sweat outfits") a pair of shoes, Johnny got a nice golf shirt, and then I got a little greedy and when Kelsey was picking some stuff out, I grabbed a cute dress. A little short, but very cute.

I also rallied for Mamma Mia. The show was good but I wasn't too impressed with the singers and performances. My uncle Ronnie has me spoiled with seats and Broadway musicals, so Vegas was so so.

MOST IMPORTANT rally... on the floor with Kellie Pickler (American Idol) and Rascall Flats. J.J. called in another favor (God love that guy.) He knew someone that knew the band and got us tickets. We are running late because Mamma Mia ran late. Kelsey opened the envelope and with the ticket are these red wrist bands. We were told to put them on, but another lady told us that they were for a meet and greet and it was already over. Oh well we thought. We rush in so we can see the rest of Kellie Pickler. As we are walking to our already good seats bottom front, and center, I see people with these same red wrist bands. Let's go try it I say to Paigey and so ANTO (america's next top model) shimmeys her way down there with all of us in tow. Sure enough, we belong. It was the most incredible thing I have ever seen. You will have to read my sister's blogs to get the best picture of it.

And before I finish, Candace more eloquantly (if that's a word) stated a HUGE thank you to J.J. He is, and so is Kelsey, so, so, so generous with all of us. We get to relish in all his special perks!!!!

Pretty standard really

A recent standard question comes from Hannah after I put on a new outfit. (She is to the point where her 3t is not fitting so I am getting her 4t) Here is what I hear "Did Kate get one of these?" How sweet right? Worrying about her little sister. Oh no. Once she hears yes, it only takes a few minutes until she has Kate's matching outfit on her baby doll. Not so sweet afterall:)

My Crazy Life

Kate smelling the flowers. My new favorite outfit.

My morning started by Kate, unknowingly, taking off her diaper and throwing it into the trash and then zipping up her jammies. I smell a smell, so I think, "Okay, time to change Kate." Much to my surprise, this was not a usual change. Since there was no diaper to hold it in, the poop was up her back, down her leg. I take her to the bath and as I am walking, the poop is falling off her onto the floor. It was really a pleasant experience!!!

Here are a few pictures of the girls!!!
