   Ethan and Meghan
Meghan all day at Ca. Adventure
         Hannah, Me, Kelsey, and Lauren

Hannah and a twin

        A day at California Adventure

We have been very busy the last few weeks.  Doing a whole lot of nothing.  I went back to work last week.  It wasn't too bad.  I was a little rusty, but the girls did fine and Meghan was good to go.  I can't complain, it's only 1 day.
This past week, Kelsey brought the girls and baby Ethan to visit.  We went to the World baseball classic game at Dodger Stadium, Disneyland, Fashion Island, and California Adventure.  We had a great time.  I was so happy she was able to come so we could meet baby Ethan.  I am currently writing this in the play room at my parent's house with Lauren, Kaelyn, Hannah, and Kate fighting and yelling, so before I go crazy, I gotta go!

OO-ey OO-ey OO-ey

I am on a walk tonight. I walk through the back door and John is reading Fancy Nancy to Hannah. Fancy Nancy is a story of a little girl who likes to use fancy french words. The words I hear when I walk in are classic...

J: OO-ey, OO-ey, OO-ey can I go to the butterfly garden

Immediately I walk to the computer to post this. He reads Oui, Oui, Oui (we we we in French for Yes Yes Yes) as OO-ey, OO-ey, OO-ey!

My mom and sisters tell me I always rag on John, so I need to end this with what a great dad he is to the girls. He takes time at night and reads to them when he really justs wants to relax and watch Sports Center.

7 weeks ago this morning, this is what I looked like.
Meghan's first picture.

7 weeks old.

Today Meghan is 7 weeks old. I can not believe it. She still seems like a newborn to me, but when I see Paige and Kelsey's little ones...I know she is not. She is still such an easy going baby. She sleeps all the time. The other day she slept 32 hours waking up 5 times to eat. I kid you not, no exaggeration. I can not belive how much I love her. As much as I want to see the little girl she will grow into, it breaks my heart at how fast it is going. My only saving grace is that everyone I talk to says the same thing. So it's not just me.

Shadows everywhere!!

This was not the first shot. I thought maybe she'd prop herself up!

I decided that I am no longer going to take the kids to get pictures and that I am going to do it myself. This hasn't worked out so well. For both Hannah and Kate's birthday we ended up at Penny's. For Meghan's 6 week photo, I am ready to take her pictures. I want it outside. My preference would be the beach, but it's too cold, so I pack the car and take her and Kate to the park. Luckily my friend was there, so she watched Kate while I took Megsie for pictures. As you can see, I could not figure out where to go so there was no shadow. 136 pictures later, not one with her eyes open and not one without a bad shadow. Good thing I was at Penny's with her last week for the same portrait. I have decided that I am going to take a class!

Here is clip #2. I tried to capture the moment, but I couldn't get it all. It was absolutely fantastic watching John. He kept giving her hard letters like p/b/d. He would not listen to me that those were not good letters. I have a masters in reading, I think I know a little about this. Just wait til the weekend when he goes to plant a flower that likes full sun and I keep telling him to put it in partial shade!

Testing

On Friday Hannah is going to be tested to see if she can get into kindergarten. Though she is very smart, she isn't very interested in learning the things for the test. She has no desire to write her name or learn her letters. We work with her, but now it's down to the nitty gritty. John decided to go full force with her and for those of you who know John, he is not the most patient person, actually, he has ZERO patience. Helping with homework is not going to be his forte.

I heard things like this...

Why are you doing this to me hannah?

Did I mention the letter Y?

We have only done 3 letters, how can you not remember these?

Please hannah, focus!

What don't you understand?

There's no sharp bottom, it's a rounded bottom

The video does not do tonight justice. It was absolutely hysterical. Hannah is stubborn as a mule and John has no patience. What a great father/daughter combo.

In all serious, please pray for our little girl. I am seriously nervous about this test. She can not stay in preschool another year.

P.S. Watch Kate

The 2 newest members...

Hayley Paige Robers
Joseph Ethan Putz
They are not quite a week apart.

The two newest members of our enormous family... Ethan and Hayley born to Kelsey and Paige respectively. Both of them birthed these babies in like and hour (not really, but pretty quickly) while Candace and I would still be in labor! Maybe it's because we are so petite and Paige and Kelsey have those birthing hips we lack!! We can't wait to meet them!

how'd she do that?

I'm a fairly smart cookie and even I dont' think I could do this. One of my two children took the center out of the toilet paper roll. When they (meaning probably Hannah) realized what that meant, they put the roll on the holder to use and called it a day. I probably wouldn't have noticed, except for the fact that it doesn't roll out!
