Not so little anymore

Our babies are no longer babies anymore. Bennett started kindergarten last week and Hannah will start next week. It was not so long ago that they were the only kids in our family:)

Mia Hamm

Hannah had her 1st soccer practice today. We were a little worried because her team didn't have a coach, but a dad finally volunteered. John took her today and he ended up helping so that was neat. He was much more excited about soccer than dance! She loved it and told me "all I did was score a goal" she didn't realize that is the main object of the game!

I am sorry Courtney:)

As you all know Paige bags on me for my organization or lack there of. Well she owes me an apology. Here is her corner at Bass Lake. I am sure she will give an excuse, as I would too.

Bass Lake

Kate

Hannah was the first one to try and ski, but she couldn't get up because no one was in the water with her. She was partly mad and partly scared

We arrived safely at Bass Lake. On Saturday it was just my girls, Paige's Hayley, and the Crockett girls. As I am writing this, Candace and Kelsey are arriving with their 6 kids and unpacking. It should be a crazy, fun adventure with lots of fun stories. We are so lucky to have everyone together with all the kids. Their faces tonight when they all saw each other was priceless!

Kelsey and her kids and Paige and Hayley have been here the past couple of weeks. It's so nice to have them here. The kids have so much fun together and we spend our time eating, shopping, returning, and swimming. Poor John is a sister widower. He's pretty understanding though. Every once in a while he'll ask, "did you cook dinner?" though he knows what the answer is. Paige and Kelsey went down to visit Candace so I did have a day at home. It was secretly nice not to get up and go somewhere. We've been to Disneyland twice, Fashion Island, Target, Walmart, the mall. We are excited for Wednesday because we are having breakfast with Goofy and all his Disney friends and then we have special reserved seats for the Fantasmic show. I have tried to see this twice with the girls, but in order to get decent seats, you need to sit and wait for about 3 hours. We met with our cousin on Saturday at my grandmas and her best friend is the director of something with Disney, so she worked her magic. I am so excited

Here we go again

Sunday dinner at my mom and dads. My dad usually cooks

everything and does everything. He complains all day how my mom doesn't do anything to get ready for it. Tonight, she took Kelsey and the girls to the airport and stopped at a friends house so she was exceptionally late.

Dinner goes well, it is absolutely delicious. We eat, clean up, and my dad goes into the freezer to get ice cream. He gets a regular spoon to dish into the container, my mom yells at him to get an ice cream scoop. He bends spoons and she is all up in arms. So he gets the scoop and instead of scooping the ice cream into a dish with the scoop, he proceeds to take the ice cream scoop and use it as a spoon.

He continues to eat out of container with an ice cream scoop. "and not to mention" she says, "you are eating dessert in front of people and you can't even offer it to them." he replies, as he's stuffing his mouth "I know and I feel really bad about it!"
