The Church Carni

Our church carnival is huge. They advertise it as the biggest event in North Orange County. Every year we take the kids and have a great time. We headed off there today for another fun time. John, being the cocky guy he is, is convinced that he can climb this rock wall. It cost 5.00 to climb, but at the top, there is 100 dollars in cash. Mind you, no one has done it all weekend. When I poo poo John for doing it, he laughs at me and tells me maybe I havent' seen how in shape he is, well...he didn't make it even 1/2 way.

We have had the most wonderful week.  All my sisters are here and all their babies!  It has been chaos, but so much fun.  On Monday we took professional pictures at the beach with 10 kids, 4 of them immobile!  We started out the day with sand on their hands, sun in their eyes, and Kate butt naked.  She had taken off her  panties.  After a lot of internal cuss word from my sisters and I, we are hoping that one of them turned out.

Minus the big fat arms, this picture turned out well!
Total chaos...

A cute shot, hopefully the photographer's is better.

Meghan Grace and Hayley Paige

Meghan getting baptised or baptized???

We had the most wonderful weekend. On Saturday we had a pool party where the kids swam literally all day. I think they took 2 small breaks, but other than that they were in the pool the entire day.

On Sunday, we had Hayley and Meghan's baptism. The baptism was rather long, but we followed it up with another great pool party. My dad made meat and John's mom made potatoe salad and coleslaw. All of the Kollen girls were there. John's mom and dad came from Ohio and Bill's sister and brother in law and their kids came from Iowa. It was an awesome day. The best part of the day was due to the fact that we had a few too many bread rolls for the steak sandwiches. Paige had sent my dad back to Costco to get more just to be safe. Well, the whole night he was head counting adults saying "there are not 30 adults in this room...count heads" "I swear, everybody needs to have a roll" "I have 60 dollars worth of rolls here" and on and on. In the later part of the night as he was complaining that a baby was in his office and he needed to do work in the morning I told him how grateful he should be that all his kids and grandkids were here. He proceeded to tell me he was, but that he was still very upset about the roll issue. It was classic Rich.

Right after 5 needles were literally jabbed in her legs and arms plus a TB test

She had no idea what was about to come to her

Looking sweet and happy before the shots!

I took Hannah to get her Kindergarten shots today. She was so excited because I took her to Toys R Us and got her a My Little Pony gift set. She got to pick it out no matter what it was. All she had to do was be brave when she got her shots. She had no idea what that ment. We got to the dr. and she was all smiles. Even when she saw the needles, she was fine. Then BAMM! She was not a happy camper!

as dora says...

The pictures are out of order for some reason so you'll have to put them in order yourself:)

we did it, we did it, we did it, HOORAY!
Meghan has officially rolled over. She doesn't like her tummy very much, but the minute you put her down, she arches her back and rolls over.
She continues to be about the best baby there is. I actually can get things done because she is still sleeping. I keep wondering when I am going to jinx myself by saying that. Today she fell asleep at 11am and woke up at 6pm. I kid you not! Her big sisters love her...well, Hannah at least. Kate has taken to poking her in the eye and pinching and scratching her. Lots of fun to make sure that doesn't happen. I can't leave Kate alone for a second!

Poor Megsie...

Meghan attempting to roll. Notice the onsies. 2 different days 2 different onsies. I don't think I ever put Hannah in just a onsie and if I did it for Kate it was rarely. Bring on th guilt! Notice the bald spot on the back of her head from sleeping so much:)

I just finished reading Paige's blog and thinking poor Meghan. Currently has moved off her exersaucer and laying on the hard wood floor talking and cooing. What am I doing? on the computer. I go through Paige's blog and see Hayley in a new outfit every hour. My poor daughter usually doesn't get out of a onsie. I had Hannah up and dressed every morning in a new outfit and had pictures for everything. Meghan has no new clothes, scratches on her face because I haven't cut her nails, and she spends the majority of time asleep. She is going to need severe counseling. Off to the picture people tomorrow to boost her self esteem:)

Here are Meghan's 3 month pictures.

I was so lucky because a friend of mine has a friend who is starting his own photography business. He was looking for models for his website. Here are some of the pictures. You can see Hannah and Kate's on danielsongphotography.com and scroll down the page. Meghan's are up too!
